Gia Rauenhorst rejoins our Board, bringing a passion for improving educational outcomes for children, backed by over a decade of experience in program efficacy within PK-12 education systems. With a Master’s degree in Education from Marymount University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, Gia has a solid foundation in data analysis and assessment. Anita Fineday joins our Board, bringing with her a distinguished career dedicated to advocating for children and families, particularly within Indigenous communities. With a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law, Anita has served in various capacities, including as Chief Judge for the White Earth Tribal Nation and as Managing Director of the Indian Child Welfare Program for the Casey Family Programs. Her extensive experience in tribal law and policy, coupled with her commitment to equity and engagement enriches our board’s perspectives. Read more about Anita!
Dr. Melody Redbird-Post joins our Program & Impact Committee with a deep understanding of child care and tribal administration. With a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum from the University of Oklahoma, Melody has led initiatives to strengthen tribal child care programs, including her role as Project Director at Miami Nation Enterprises, Inc. Her diverse background, ranging from early childhood education to project management, equips her to contribute valuable insights to Better Way’s grantmaking.
