Jeff tries every day to care for our common home, as Pope Francis calls us all to do. He runs his own professional services business, 7100 Solutions: a trusted advisor and implementer of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and analytics solutions. 7100 Solutions serves the needs of large technology/telecommunication companies and the Catholic Church. Previously, Jeff was on the founding team of Vigilent, pioneering the use of IoT and artificial intelligence to deliver dynamic cooling management in mission-critical environments, reducing energy usage while increasing reliability. In his 10 years at Vigilent, he led several groups, including business development, operations, analytics, and customer success. Previously, Jeff worked in pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing at Honeywell.
Seventeen years ago, Jeff served on the Opus Prize Foundation board where he was on the initial board that developed and implemented the $1M prize concept. He served on the Sieben Foundation board for 3 years and was Chair during the merger with Better Way Foundation. He was the first Chair of the newly merged Better Way Foundation and completed his term on the Board at the end of 2015. Jeff also serves on the board of the Catholic Climate Covenant. He advises the Catholic Energies program, which implements solar and efficiency projects for Catholic organizations.
Jeff uses any excuse to be outside in the mountains: ultra-running, any kind of skiing (alpine, backcountry, & nordic), camping, hiking with the family, climbing, sailing, and just being. His wife and two children live in the Lake Tahoe/Reno area. Jeff has an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Notre Dame.
