Greg retired as CFO of the Bush Foundation in 2023; he served in the capacity of CFO for 15 years. At the foundation—an organization that invests heavily in the Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities across Minnesota and the Dakotas—Greg was integral to the foundation’s mission, helping guide its work through various changes while keeping a steady hand during uncertain times. In his tenure, he helped the foundation navigate through changes in leadership, grantmaking approaches, and the ups-and-downs of the financial markets.
Greg was instrumental in building the foundation’s now $30M Program-Related Investment portfolio across more than 20 organizations. (At the Bush Foundation, the organization doesn’t see a distinction between operations and grantmaking when it comes to impact; as such, Greg engaged with and got to know numerous grantee organizations.)
Prior to Bush, Greg’s extensive experience spanned working in and leading finance for various organizations and businesses. He graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota.
Greg lives in the Twin Cities.
