Isabel Coronado serves as Associate Program Officer at Better Way. With 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that center family well-being and community voice, Isabel brings a deep commitment to advancing equity and strengthening systems that serve children and families.
Prior to joining Better Way, Isabel held roles including Research Scholar and Program Manager at New York University’s Marron Institute of Urban Management; Policy Entrepreneur at Next100; and Deputy Director of the American Indian Criminal Justice Navigation Council. She has also served in several leadership and advisory capacities, including Chair of the Campaign to Keep Families Together; member of the Research & Data Advisory Committee for NEO Philanthropy (supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation); and Evaluation Consultant for the National Tribal Child Welfare Center for Innovation and Advancement.
In 2018, the Center for Native American Youth honored Isabel with the Champions for Change Award.
Isabel holds an associate degree in Allied Health from Muscogee Nation College, a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from Northeastern State University, and a master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on Rural and Underserved Populations from Oklahoma State University.
Isabel lives in Tulsa, Okla. She is a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and a woman of Mexican descent.
